We have added fifteen pages aimed at the people the site is actually for: young people, their families, and the social workers placing them.
They cover moving in and what to expect, what a week can look like, support through difficult moments, staying connected with family, keeping children safe, and how to tell us if something is wrong. There are also pages for social workers, including a planned move checklist and our inspection information.
Two of them can be listened to instead of read. The moving-in page and its easy-read version both have a spoken version with a written transcript beside it. The narration is a synthetic voice and we say so on the page, because pretending otherwise would be a strange way to start.
The easy-read version exists because the moving-in page is the one a young person is most likely to be handed on a difficult day. If you spot something on any of these pages that is unclear or wrong, please tell us.
