Accessibility statement.
What we have done to make this site usable by everyone - and how to tell us when it isn’t.
Last updated 14 October 2026
Our commitment.
Guidance Care Limited wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible: people using a screen reader, people who navigate by keyboard alone, people who need larger text, and people who find movement on screen uncomfortable.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. We also have duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments.
What we have built in.
- Text and background colours are chosen to keep information readable. Contrast is included in our ongoing accessibility review.
- A reading and display panel on our main pages lets you pause motion and increase the text size. Your choice is remembered on your device.
- If your device is set to “reduce motion”, the site honours that automatically, without you having to do anything.
- Links, buttons and form controls support keyboard navigation and have visible focus styles.
- A “skip to content” link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the navigation.
- Images carry text alternatives, headings are properly nested, and every form field has a real label.
- Layouts adapt to small screens and browser zoom. If you find a page that does not reflow clearly, please tell us.
- Core page content and navigation remain available with JavaScript switched off. Online forms and display controls require JavaScript; phone and email alternatives are provided.
Known limitations.
- The map on the Contact page is supplied by Google. We cannot control its accessibility, which is why the full address is also written out as text beside it.
- Ofsted reports open on Ofsted’s own website, whose accessibility is Ofsted’s responsibility.
- The job application form is long. You can choose to save a draft on a private device for seven days. Contact HR to arrange help or an alternative application format.
Our October 2026 internal review covers responsive layouts, keyboard interactions, dialogs, all application steps, automated accessibility checks and text contrast, including text over photographs. This is not a complete WCAG 2.2 AA conformance assessment; a full assistive-technology evaluation remains to be completed. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit; if we do, we will give its date and findings here.
